About Me

I'm a lifelong artist at heart, and I rediscovered my passion for art after a successful 40-year career in engineering. Upon retiring, I realized that art was more than just a hobby; it was my calling.

Today, I proudly exhibit my work at the SEMVA Art Gallery, nestled in the heart of downtown Rochester, Minnesota. I am on the Executive Board and act as the Treasurer.

I have some of prior work located here.

My Artist Statement

I'm known for my highly detailed artwork, which balance realism with a touch of imagination. I seek to bring the beauty of the world around us to life using charcoal, oils, watercolors and pastels as my preferred mediums.

I'm inspired by the intricate nuances of ordinary objects and strive to communicate their spirit through my drawings. I approach my work with great attention to detail to establish a sense of depth and texture, analyzing the interaction of light and shadow to create a vivid sense of reality.

Ultimately, my goal as an artist is to create work that brings joy and beauty to others. Whether I'm capturing the personality in a portrait or the delicate beauty of a simple object, I strive to produce art that inspires and enthralls those who view it.
